Take this for what it is a classic Italian Trattoria! It’s busy, crowded and full of joy! Food is some of the best we have ever had. All from scratch excellent fresh ingredients from their own farms. Tiny tables, stand in line up and have a spritz while you wait!

A must if you are not from Rome. No reservations, therefore I suggest to come from 40 to 1 hour before it opens. We waited 40 mins but it was worthy! One of the most traditional restaurants I’ve tried (I am Italian) with my wife (Dutch). We both loved it. Don’t miss the Tiramisu, it is delicious! For two people, one appetizer, two main plates and dessert, around 30€ per person. More than fair! I recommend this place.

Overall, the experience here was exceptional—it’s the kind of place I’d gladly wait in line for. Highly recommend! ⭐ Had the opportunity to eat here while in Trastevere as part of an award-winning food tour, and it absolutely lived up to the hype When our group arrived around 7:30 p.m., the line was already a few blocks long, which made sense once we saw what came out of the kitchen We were lucky enough to bypass the wait as part of the tour, but if visiting on your own, come prepared. During the busy tourist season (July through September), we noticed people waiting with portable fans, water bottles, and even to-go cocktails—pro tips I’d recommend for anyone braving the line The highlight for me was the burrata, and it was nothing short of incredible. For anyone unfamiliar, burrata is a fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream—the outer shell is solid mozzarella, while the inside is filled with stracciatella and cream, giving it a luscious, buttery texture that practically melts in your mouth Growing up in Iowa, I’ve always been a cheese lover (the kind of person who ate shredded cheese straight from the bag), but I also know some European cheeses can be an acquired taste for me. Even my husband—who usually doesn’t enjoy eating cheese on its own—was savoring every bite. That’s how good it was: fresh, rich, and balanced We also tried the fried cod croquettes, which were golden and crispy on the outside with tender, flavorful fish inside I didn’t finish mine since fried breading isn’t always my preference, but others in our group went back for seconds, which speaks to how well they were prepared. Paired with the crisp, light prosecco flowing freely during the tasting, it was the perfect start to the evening From what I gathered, they also have an impressive wine selection and a menu full of classic Roman dishes at prices that seem surprisingly reasonable given the quality and popularity What really put the experience over the top, though, was the service. Despite the rush and the never-ending line outside, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. They took time with each table, explained the dishes, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just part of the crowd

One of the best and most authentic restaurants in Travestere for both locals and tourists alike. There is both inside and outside eating and the place gets packed, by midday when it opens there is already a queue to be seated. And there is good reason why. The food here is stunningly amazing. The menu features all the essentials and the pasta here is to die for. Very well cooked till al dente and packed full of flavour. Prices are reasonable and the waiters are attentive. The tripe was perfectly seasoned and is a real Authentic Roman dish. The Pepe pasta was yummy and portions were fair

Trattoria Da Enzo is justifiably famous for their excellent pasta carbonara, traditional Roman ambiance and history. The queueing is unavoidable and part of the experience. Arrive before they open at around 5.30pm to start queuing and you will likely wait around an hour. Being able to have drinks whilst in the queue is a nice touch! This is not the best carbonara I've ever had in 30+ years of coming to Rome almost every year, but it's very very good. The quality of the guanciale used is especially impressive and it is always cooked perfectly. The bread basket is an additional €2 which is to be expected at a restaurant that is now quite touristy but the quality of the bread is decent. The tiramisu is very good, and the coffee is, too. Just beware that they only do small, strong coffees, no cappuccinos or lattes.

This is was our best meal in Rome. The wait IS worth it. The staff makes you feel like you’re at home. Antonio brought a chair out for my mom to sit while we waited. Roberto opened up the priceless Bianca Parmigiano Reggiano for the restaurant to taste. Our waiter brought us a sample of an appetizer to try. It’s a very special place.
